PARIS, July 13 (Hina) - A conference of Mediterranean countries on UNESCO's world heritage was opened in Naples on Monday. The event was organised by the Inter-University Centre in Dubrovnik and Dowling College from New York. The
conference was moved from Dubrovnik to Naples in April, when it was still uncertain how the crisis in Kosovo might develop. The programme of the conference remained the same, which means that one day (Wednesday) will be dedicated to Croatia in UNESCO's world cultural heritage. Croatia's Ambassador to the Vatican, Marijan Sunjic, will speak about Croatia's role as a stabiliser in the wider region. Croatia's cultural heritage on UNESCO's world heritage list will be presented as well. A separate topic will be Dubrovnik's contacts with Mediterranean countries.
