ZAGREB, July 12 (Hina) - The Council for Telecommunications on Monday granted a concession for broadcasting TV programmes on the state level to the Zagreb-based company "NOVA TV". The Council also granted several licenses for radio
programmes on municipal and state levels. In line with a suggestion by an Assistant Transport and Communications Minister and member of the Council, Dominik Filipovic, the concession was granted to NOVA TV company on condition that it build a transmitter which will be used for broadcasting programmes and that it give a clear deadline for the completion of that task. A Council member Ivic Pasalic (Croatian Democratic Union, HDZ) supported the granting of the concession on the state level, adding it would help create competition for Croatian Radio Television (HTV). experience, but they are faced with serious work.
According to the press, NOVA TV editor-in-chief and director would
be Miroslav Lilic and Tomislav Marcinko respectively.
