ZAGREB, July 8 (Hina) - A little over a third of a programme aimed at promoting Croatia's tourist offer has been realised so far, including interventions aimed at eliminating the negative consequences of the Kosovo crisis, the Tourist
Council of the Croatian Board of Tourism concluded at a Thursday session. The government earmarked from the state budget an additional US$5.4 million for the programme, which also represents an introduction into the promotion of Croatia's 2000 tourist season on foreign tourist markets. The Tourist Council also discussed problems which Croatia's tourism has been encountering since the beginning of this year's peak summer season, and which are primarily related to drops in tourist business.(hina) ha jn
