TIRANA, 7 July (Hina) - About 70,000 of more than half a million Kosovo refugees who sought refuge in Albania during the conflict in Yugoslavia are still in Albania, UNHCR officials said in Tirana on Wednesday. Between 13,000 and
15,000 refugees were returning daily to Kosovo in the last several days. Parallel to the spontaneous return, refugees were also returning with the assistance of the UNHCR and Albanian Government. UNHCR officials today said the UNHCR had reconstructed 32 reception centres in nine Albanian counties, which can accommodate 18,000 persons. The centres will be used for the accommodation of those refugees wishing to stay in Albania until their homes are reconstructed.(hina) rml
