SARAJEVO, June 29 (Hina) - At least 4,000 Albanians who took refute in Bosnia-Herzegovina have returned to Kosovo after the arrival of NATO forces to that southern Yugoslav province, the spokeswoman of the United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Wendy Rappeport told a press conference in Sarajevo on Tuesday. According to UNHCR data, it is possible that the number amounts to 7,000, but given that refugees found shelter in homes of their relatives, it is impossible to give the exact number. The return of only 250 refugees to Kosovo and Sandjak was officially registered. On July 1, the UNHCR will start implementing the help programme for refugees from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia who found shelter in Bosnia-Herzegovina and now wish to return to their homes.
