OHR WILL RE-EVALUATE AMENDMENTS TO LAW ON FEDERATION TELEVISION

SARAJEVO, July 1 (Hina) - Legal experts of the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina (OHR) will re-evaluate amendments to the Law on Radio Television (RTV) of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and decide whether they are acceptable, OHR spokesman James Ferguson told Hina on Thursday. Ferguson was commenting on a law on the Federation Radio and Television, which was adopted today by the Parliament of the Croat-Muslim Federation in a version different than the one Muslims and Croats had agreed on earlier. Ferguson said the OHR would in no way give up the July 15 deadline for the adoption of the law. He said necessary measures would be taken if the law was not adopted by that date. According to previous announcements, the High Representative could impose a law on the Federation Radio and Television if the parliament fails to adopt the law in the regular procedure.
