ZAGREB POLICE ON INVESTIGATION INTO FRENCH CITIZEN'S MURDER ZAGREB, July 1 (Hina) - The Zagreb police on Thursday reported they would launch an investigation to establish the accountability of the person who without authorisation gave photographs and official data on the murder of a French citizen to Croatia's largest circulation daily paper, "Jutarnji List". French citizen Jean Pierre Poulain was killed in downtown Zagreb in the evening hours of June 29. The police reported on the murder at their regular press conference the day after, but released no photographs. Reporters were given only a brief outline of the incident, since neither the culprit not certain circumstances of the murder were known, in order to prevent the publication of detailed information from obstructing the further course of the investigation.
