ZAGREB, June 29 (Hina) - The Croatian Pensioners' Party (HSU) and the Civic Committee for Human Rights (GOLJP) on Tuesday protested against last Saturday's police search of the apartment of "Nacional" weekly editor-in-chief Ivo
Pukanic. The Croatian Government, the two associations believe, should take measures against those who commit crimes and not harass those who discover those crimes. In a statement issued today, the HSU said the search of Pukanic's apartment and the apartment of a former Justice Minister, Miroslav Separovic, reminded it of "the dark times of the past, and warn the domestic and the international public about the actual state of democracy in Croatia, which is moving further from the modern democratic world instead of drawing closer to it".(hina) rml
