FARMERS WITH OVER 100 TRACTORS PASS THROUGH KOPRIVNICA

KOPRIVNICA KOPRIVNICA, June 26 (Hina) - Farmers in Koprivnica-Krizevci County on Saturday held a protest rally on the fairground in Koprivnica (50 kilometres north-east of Zagreb). Shortly after 11 a.m. over a hundred tractors, escorted by police, passed through streets of this town. At the protest, Ivan Kolar, the head of the Croatian Farmers' Association which organised today's demonstrations in several Croatian counties, reiterated peasants' demands. They insist on the ban on the import of such agricultural products which have been produced in sufficient amounts by farmers in the country. They demand the immediate payment of money for last year's crops already given to the state as well as 1.32 kuna per kilogram of wheat as the purchase price. Demonstration will last as long as the Government fails to meet farmers' demands, they said. Kolar also announced a possibility that peasants come with pig
