BELGRADE, June 20 (Hina) - The Association of the Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) on Sunday protested against a decree of the Yugoslav federal telecommunications ministry ordering to all television stations in Serbia to
re-broadcast news programme of the (state-controlled) TV Belgrade. The Association issued a statement saying that the ministry has neither constitutional nor legal authorisation to order media what they will air. It also insisted on the unimpeded work and the same conditions for all electronic media. The Association recalled that the first decision on re-broadcasting the news programme of the TV Belgrade (or RTS) was made after NATO's bombing of the RTS building when 16 workers of that station were killed. The decision was consenusual and taken in protest at the attack against the media and it was not a decree, the ANEM added
