Britain's Deputy Defence Secretary, Douglas Henderson, after his

added.
Minister Miljavac said the two delegations had described the
military cooperation between the Croatian and British armed forces
as "very good at all levels."
There are no reasons not to develop this cooperation further, the
Croatian minister added.
Miljavac and Henderson said they had led very good talks on several
issues of the mutual interest such as the situation in the region,
the implementation of the Dayton Accords, new initiatives for the
Stability Pact and Croatia's inclusion in the Partnership For Peace
programme.
Asked whether his country would back Croatia's bids to come closer
to Western European institutions, Henderson said all countries
should fulfil certain criteria before they enter international
association
The criteria for the Partnership For Peace are clear. There is a
clear role for the political process and the clear determined role
for the military process, the British official explained.
He said he could see that changes were taking place in Croatia,
adding that there was resoluteness to make all necessary changes in
order that Croatia may meet all international criteria.
Henderson invited Miljavac to visit London, and the Croatian
minister accepted the invitation.
Henderson said he hoped that the visit would soon be paid and
Miljavac would be able to inform him of changes which took place.
