COMMEMORATION HELD FOR 26 RECENTLY EXHUMED BOSNIAN CROATS

BUGOJNO, June 1 (Hina) - A joint commemoration for 26 recently exhumed Bosnian Croats, killed by Muslims during the 1993-1994 conflict, was held in Bugojno, central Bosnia, on Tuesday. The bodies of the 26 victims were exhumed from six single and one mass grave in Bugojno Municipality on May 26 and 27. Attending the commemoration were several thousand displaced Croats, members of the victims' families, a delegate of Bosnian Croat leader and presidency member Ante Jelavic, and representatives of military authorities. Friar Petar Andjelovic said during the service Bugojno needed a prayer to make life possible in harmony, understanding, joint work, and a better future. Farewell speeches were also made by Jelavic's chief-of-staff Stjepan Mikic and the president of the Bugojno Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ivica Zelic.(hina) ha
