OMIS OMIS, June 1 (Hina) - Croatia's Minister of Reconstruction, Immigration and Development, Jure Radic, and his assistant Milica Zupanovic on Tuesday handed keys to 40 newly-built flats in Omis, southern Croatia, to Homeland War
invalids and families of killed Croatian soldiers. The Ministry has financed the construction works with some US$1.5 million. Another 780 flats, which are being built in Split-Dalmatia County, will be completed by the end of this year, Radic said. He hoped that housing problems of war invalids and families of killed Croatian soldiers, of whom there are currently 16,000, would be solved by the end of 2001.(hina) rml
