ZAGREB, May 31 (Hina) - Petar Mrkalj, a prominent member of the Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO), suddenly passed away in Zagreb on Monday. Mrkalj, 54, was one of the oldest HHO members, had held the position of HHO executive
director, and was the head of the HHO department for the most serious violations of human rights at the time of death. Mrkalj had also organised HHO's most important activities, field researches, and was the author of HHO's reports on human rights violations.
