ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - Significant results have been achieved in promoting the protection of human rights in the sovereign Croatia, Croatian President Franjo Tudjman said on Monday during talks with United Nations High Commissioner
for Human Rights, Mary Robinson, the President's Office reported. Croatia is trying to solve existing difficulties in a satisfactory way, President Tudjman said, and added that Croatia sought greater understanding and support of the international community. Also present at the talks were Presidential Chief-of-Staff Ivica Kostovic, Foreign Minister Mate Granic, President's advisors Slobodan Lang and Neven Madey, and the Croatian Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Spomenka Cek.(hina) it/lml
