ZAGREB, 21 May 21 (Hina) - Zagreb's high school graduates, armed with flour, whistles, and water guns, on Friday celebrated the end of their high school education by the traditional "mayhemimpics" festival. Earlier in the day, the
largest number of graduates gathered on the capital's main square, where they performed the ritual of throwing flour at people and bathing in the square's fountain. The graduates were also showered by the afternoon downpour, while "singing in the rain". The Zagreb emergency ward intervened about 20 times, mostly due to intoxicated state of students, or in some cases cuts or light injuries. The Zagreb police reported that the graduates have vandalised 20 trams and a city bus. Five students have been taken in for disturbing public peace and order. The festival will continue at the Zagreb Lake of Jarun until early morning hours.(hina) it/lml
