BERAK, May 21 (Hina) - Croatian returnees to Berak, a village in Vukovar-Srijem County in eastern Croatia, on Friday continued their protest which began on May 7. About 300 Croatian returnees to Berak have been protesting day and
night by a central cross erected for the victims of the Homeland War. The protesters demand authorities to start criminal proceedings against local Serbs, who they say committed crimes against Croats in 1991 and 1992 during the Serb aggression on eastern Croatia. They also demand that light be shed on the fate of 29 Croats from Berak who have been registered as missing.
