ZAGREB, May 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Government on Thursday appointed a working group which would help the executive authority in relation to the return of money transferred abroad by Croatian banks which have gone bankrupt. The
working group includes experts from the Financial Police, the Foreign Exchange Inspectorate, the Croatian National Bank, and the Foreign Ministry, the Government Public and Media Relations Office reported. According to the same source, the Government approved an amount to cover the social welfare needs to be earmarked from the state budget's current assets. The Government passed decisions on putting out of force a previous system of distribution of Croatian Telecommunications' profit, on the distribution of HT profit for 1998, and on the settlement of HT's arrears to the state budget.(hina) it jn/ha
