VUKOVAR VUKOVAR, April 24 (Hina) - On the occasion of St. George's Day and the eight commemorative event "Twelve Policemen" which began in Vukovar on Friday, 160 members of the Association of the Homeland War Veterans (UHVDR) visited
this eastern Croatian town today. On Saturday morning, they laid a wreath in the town's New Cemetery for all people who lost their lives during the Homeland War. The prayer was said by the parish priest of the nearby town of Borovo, Friar Ante Perkovic. UHVDR members from eight Croatian counties also went to the spot of the mass grave at Ovcara, outside Vukovar. The veterans held a soccer tournament as part of this event at which they gather.(hina) ms
