BELGRADE, April 28 (Hina) - Serbian President Milan Milutinovic and the president of the Kosovo Democratic Alliance (DSK), Ibrahim Rugova, signed a joint statement on a political solution to the Kosovo crisis, in Pristina on
Wednesday. The two officials agreed that talks on a peaceful and political solution for Kosovo would be "direct, with equal participation of all national communities in Kosovo", media reports from Pristina said. Milutinovic said he and Rugova had agreed on a joint statement according to which talks between the Serbian government and the Kosovo Albanian political leadership on a political agreement should resume immediately. The agreement would envisage expansive self-government rights in the southern Yugoslav province, full respect for all citizens and national communities, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and Yugoslavia.
