OSIJEK, Apr 14 (Hina) - A man on Wednesday turned himself in to the Osijek-Baranja County police saying he was the person who took the memorial-plaque to the Erdut Agreement a few days ago. The man's name is Nikola Jaman and he is a
retired Croatian Army officer. The plaque was placed in front of the Erdut Castle on the first anniversary of the signing of the Erdut Agreement, which focused on the peaceful reintegration of eastern Slavonia, Baranja and western Srijem, areas in eastern Croatia occupied by Serb military and paramilitary units in 1991. After reporting to the police, Jaman was interrogated. A statement is expected to be released later. Jaman was previously arrested in March 1998 for attempting to take hostages at the Croatian government's Office for the reinstatement of Croatian authority in eastern Croatia, and for the illegal possession of explosive devices. Jaman was previously arrested in March 1998 for attempting to take
