ZAGREB, April 20 (Hina) - A Croatian Deputy Prime Minister, Ljerka Mintas Hodak, on Tuesday talked with officials of the World Bank on possibilities for Croatia to get financial assistance for the improvement of the situation in its
judiciary. They particularly considered the assistance for the commercial courts and land registries. The financial help will be directed toward the further training of judges at commercial courts and trustees in bankruptcy as well as toward the set-up of the information system in courts with an aim to make them more effective and reduce the number of pending cases. The programme of the professional training will cover commercial courts with the largest number of pending cases such as ones in Zagreb, Rijeka and Split.
