LONDON, April 16 (Hina) - Croatian Finance Minister Borislav Skegro on Friday said Croatia would seek US$150 to US$200 million for a new standby facility from the International Monetary Fund. Croatia is seeking the loan due to the
effects on Croatian economy caused by NATO strikes on Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Conditions for the new loan would include balancing the budget and cutting expenditure, Skegro stressed. Croatia already has a US$492 million approved by the International Monetary Fund, but has drawn only US$40 million.
