SARAJEVO, April 15 (Hina) - Premiers of the Bosnian two entities,
Edhem Bicakcic of the Croat-Moslem Federation and Milorad Dodik of
the Republic of Srpska - held a meeting in Lukavica, outside
Sarajevo, on Thursday to discuss the implementation of the
arbiter's decision on the disputed north-eastern town of Brcko and
problems in connection with an increasing inflow of refugees from
Yugoslavia (Serbia/Montenegro) to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Lukavica meeting has been the first one between top officials of
the two entities since the start of NATO bombing of Yugoslavia which
also led to high tensions in the Serb-populated part of Bosnia.
After the talks, Edhem Bicakcic told reporters that the growing
influx of refugees caused problems which Bosnia-Herzegovina could
not solve without the assistance of the international community.
He warned that the international community should not get around
Bosnia in its attempt to solve the refugee crisis caused by the
recent developments in Kosovo.
Dodik supported a stand that it should be impermissible to re-
allocate resources, previously earmarked for the reconstruction of
the war-stricken Bosnia, in the wake of the latest crisis in the
region.
Dodik added that due to the Yugoslav crisis, the Serb entity was
asking for the 30-day postponement of the deadline for the passing
of annexes to the final ruling of the arbiter regarding Brcko.
Bicakcic replied the request would be considered.
