Adriatic coast. Wildhaber was accompanied by his hosts, Croatian Constitutional Court President Jadranko Crnic, and Nikola Filipovic, president of the Croatian Institute for Human Rights in Novi Vinodolski. Novi Vinodolski is a town where one of the first written legal documents in Europe, the so-called Vinodolski Code, was adopted in 1288. Constitutional Court Vice-President Jurica Malcic and a court judge Velimir Belajac stressed in today's discussions that some powers of the Constitutional Court should be widened with the aim of providing better protection of citizens' constitutional rights.(hina) jn rml
