CLOSING OF BELGRADE-BAR RAILWAY A BLOW TO MONTENEGRIN ECONOMY

PODGORICA, April 5 (Hina) - Montenegro's Transport Minister, Jusuf Kalamperovic, said the discontinuation of the traffic along the Belgrade-Bar railway had seriously affected the Montenegrin economy and marred the traffic and connections between Montenegro and Serbia (which make up the current Yugoslav federation). The Belgrade-Bar railway, a part of which passes through the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina, was shut down on Saturday by NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Bosnia due to indications that Yugoslavia might use it for military purposes. SFOR troops mined the Bosnian section of the railway.
