ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Tuesday received Russian Ambassador to Croatia Eduard Leonidovic Kuzmin, who handed Tudjman his credentials. The excellent results of President Tudjman's visit to Russia
in December, 1998, have opened a path for further development of the two countries' relations, the Russian Ambassador said in Croatian. Croatia has always attached great importance to its relations with Russia, Tudjman said and pointed to the connection between the Russian and Croatian peoples. Croatia expects Russia to play a positive role in the crisis in the neighbouring Balkans, so peace could be reached as soon as possible, Tudjman said.
