SARAJEVO, Mar 27 (Hina) - A spokesperson for the Office of the High
Representative (OHR) for Bosnia on Saturday said the OHR believes
the shooting down of two Yugoslav aircraft over Bosnian territory
was clear indication that Yugoslav President Milosevic was trying
to expand the conflict on the territory of a neighbouring country.
Such attempts will however meet with resolute response on the part
of NATO and its Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Bosnia, OHR
spokeswoman Alexandra Stiglmeyer told Radio BH on Saturday.
She said the two Yugoslav aircraft were shot down because they had
violated Bosnia's air space by which act Belgrade had tried to spill
the war over Yugoslav borders.
Stiglmeyer said NATO had acted appropriately, and added she was
sure similar reactions would follow in case Yugoslavia again
resorted to similar provocation.
The SFOR has taken all necessary measures of preparedness,
including increased control on the Bosnia-Yugoslavia border, she
added.
Commenting on the latest protest rallies against NATO's
intervention in Bosnian Serb territory, Stiglmeyer said they were
legitimate as long as they were peaceful and did not incite
violence.
