ZAGREB, March 22 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa on Monday held talks with a delegation of the Association of Independent Unions of Croatia (SSSH) on the overall situation in Croatian economy and individual problems, particularly regarding the non-payment of salaries in many companies. The SSSH delegation was headed by its president Davor Juric. "We agreed to continue talks, most likely before Easter, to reach an agreement on general principles on what type of measures are to be undertaken", Matesa said after the talks. "We requested that the Prime Minister enable, using his authorities, our joining the Croatian Privatisation Fund, namely the purchase of particular companies", Juric said. According to Juric, Matesa promised he would demand the Privatisation Fund to make possible "constructive talks" on requests for reviewing the documentation. The SSSH delegation also asked for talks with Croatian Justice Minister Milan Ramljak on amendments to laws, which could hasten the regular payment of salaries, such as the Law on Bankruptcy, the Distress Law, or the Penalty Law, Juric said.
