PRISTINA, March 16 (Hina)- At least 3,000 Albanians from villages in the region of Vucitrn and Obilic fled their homes after an attack by Serb forces which lasted several days, the Kosovo Information Centre (KIC) reported on Tuesday.
The majority of refugees was heading towards Obilic and Pristina, the KIC reported. On Monday evening, unidentified persons fired several mortar shells on Orahovac, 50 kilometres southwest of Pristina.There were no victims in the attack, however the attack caused significant damage. Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe's (OSCE) verifiers participated in an investigation into the attack. Radio Pristina today reported that Albanians were responsible for Monday's attack. Albanian sources did not comment on the attack.(hina) it/rml
