PRISTINA, Feb 20 (Hina) - Serbian forces on Saturday launched a cannon attack on the Kosovo village of Studencane, the Kosovo Democratic Alliance reported. The same source said that 300 to 400 villagers had fled their homes. It was
also reported that shells had fell in the vicinity of nearby villages. The Alliance, however, did not have any information about the consequences of the attack. The Kosovo Verification Mission of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) confirmed today's clashes between the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and Serbian forces, adding that they started following a KLA attack on a Serbian police convoy this afternoon. Security forces also called in reinforcement and the clashes went on until 4pm, OSCE spokeswoman Beatrice Lacoste said.
