in Washington on Sunday. Among the goals of this year's manifestation is the establishment of a Croatian Congress Club, which would comprise representatives and senators at the U.S. Congress interested in dealing with American-Croatian issues, the head of the Croats of America Association (CAA), Frank Brozovich, said. American Croats also want to conduct individual or group meetings with members of the U.S. Congress and express their views on numerous issues, including Croatia's access to NATO's Partnership for Peace programme. event which American Croats have been holding for nine years to
promote cooperation and better understanding between Croatia and
the United States, began in Washington on Sunday.
Among the goals of this year's manifestation is the establishment
of a Croatian Congress Club, which would comprise representatives
and senators at the U.S. Congress interested in dealing with
American-Croatian issues, the head of the Croats of America
Association (CAA), Frank Brozovich, said.
American Croats also want to conduct individual or group meetings
with members of the U.S. Congress and express their views on
numerous issues, including Croatia's access to NATO's Partnership
for Peace programme.
The CAA will forward a letter to the U.S. Secretary of State,
expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that Croatia has not been
invited to the 50th anniversary of NATO's establishment in
Washington in April.
Members of the CAA will also meet National Security Council
officials at the White House, as well as State Department
officials.
