ZAGREB, Feb 18 (Hina) - The Croatian Government on Thursday called on contractors of the "Diona" chain of stores to endorse the bankrupt company's reorganisation so its employees would not lose their jobs. Assistant Economy Minister
Kruno Kovacevic said the Government advocated that Diona continue its sales, and would try to influence contractors not to sell off Diona's property. He announced proceedings would be initiated against persons responsible for the situation in the company. The Diona company is a part of the Globus Group, owned by Miroslav Kutle. Diona's biggest contractors (Kras, Podravka and Vindija) initiated Diona's bankruptcy proceedings at the Zagreb Commercial Court. Diona employs some 2,5000 people.(hina) lml jn
