ZAGREB, Jan 30 (Hina) - The National Television Association (NUT) on Saturday lodged strong protest against a decision by the Croatian Transport and Communications Ministry to revoke the operation licence of the Split-based TV station
ATV. "It is becoming more and more obvious that various forms of pressure on independent media are not ceasing", the NUT said in a statement today, requesting that the ATV be given back its operation permit so that "an acceptable solution could be found for all". The ATV stopped broadcasting it programme on January 29 after officials of the Transport and Communications Ministry disconnected its relays, saying that ATV's permit for the relay on Mt Marjan (overlooking Split) had expired on December 31 last year. On January 29, the ATV was to broadcast a programme entitled "Censorship", with Croatian Social-Liberal Party (HSLS) president Drazen Budisa and HSLS
