MOSTAR, Feb 16 (Hina) - An inter-state expert group in charge of
determining the borderline between Croatia and Bosnia on Tuesday
concluded a two-day meeting held in the southern Bosnian town of
Mostar.
Delegations of the two countries issued a joint statement saying
maps were compared at the meeting, the fourth of its kind.
"It has been determined the views regarding the extension of the
borderline coincide in high degree." The differences, the
statement said, "which in greatest part are of technical nature",
will be adjusted in the future work of the expert group.
The leaders of the two delegations, Croatia's Mladen Klemencic and
Bosnia's Ilija Lukic, said the next meeting would take place in
Zagreb on March 8 and 9.
Klemencic said the expert group's task is to "identify the
borderline at all points."
"Some differences will be eliminated technically," he said, adding
additional documentation would be used to adjust views for a very
small number of differences.
Klemencic said differences concerned views "about Martin Brod and
the area of the Zeljava airport, and some two or three other
points."
There are no special differences which would obstruct resolution,
he added.
The work of the expert group for borders is followed by
representatives of the international High Representative for
Bosnia.
