WASHINGTON CONFERENCE ON ECONOMIC TRANSITION CONTINUES WASHINGTON, Feb 2 (Hina) - A three-day international conference on problems and results of a ten-year process of economic transformation in countries in transition, organised by
the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Institute, continued in Washington on Tuesday. The purpose of the conference is to give an assessment of achievements in different countries and enable their representatives to exchange experience and become acquainted with the opinions of economic experts. Attending the conference, together with representatives from 21 central and east European countries and former Soviet states, is the Croatian National Bank Governor Marko Skreb. During his stay in Washington, Skreb will on Thursday and Friday hold separate talks with World Bank and IMF officials.
