ZAGREB ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - An inter-state diplomatic commission for the identification, marking and maintenance of borders between Croatia and Bosnia on Monday convened in Zagreb for its third session. According to a statement from
the Croatian government's Communications Office, the commission agreed on future work in the mine-clearing of border areas, to enable the commission's and expert teams' work in the field. According to the Croatian Mine-Clearing Centre, some 6,700 anti-personnel and some 1,600 anti-tank mines are planted in at least 360 known mine-fields in the width of 3km on the Croatian side of the Croatian-Bosnian border. According to Bosnian information, a much higher number of planted mines may be expected from the Bosnian side of the border. mixed team of experts in charge of marking and maintaining the
borderline.
The commission also adopted instructions for marking joint
documents and established the agenda for a session of a mixed expert
team in charge of identifying the borderline in border crossing
zones.
The inter-state commission will next convene in Sarajevo on
February 22, while the mixed expert team in charge of identifying
the borderline will convene in Mostar on February 15 and 16.
