CRO-BOSNIAN INTER-STATE COMMISSION FOR BORDERS MEETS IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - An inter-state diplomatic commission for the identification, marking and maintenance of borders between Croatia and Bosnia on Monday convened in Zagreb for its third session. According to a statement from the Croatian government's Communications Office, the commission agreed on future work in the mine-clearing of border areas, to enable the commission's and expert teams' work in the field. According to the Croatian Mine-Clearing Centre, some 6,700 anti-personnel and some 1,600 anti-tank mines are planted in at least 360 known mine-fields in the width of 3km on the Croatian side of the Croatian-Bosnian border. According to Bosnian information, a much higher number of planted mines may be expected from the Bosnian side of the border.
