ZAGREB, Feb 10 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Wednesday travelled to Turkey on a three-day state visit. This visit of Tudjman to Ankara should be an opportunity of continuing the talks on the situation in the region and
of advancing the still insufficiently promoted economic cooperation between the two countries. Considering the current friendly relations I expect the deepening and strengthening of the cooperation in the economic sector, and it is obvious that we have much to discuss regarding the crisis in the neighbouring Balkan area, Tudjman told reporters ahead of his departure from the Zagreb airport on Wednesday morning. President Tudjman will be in Turkey from 10 to 12 February. This is to be the fifth meeting between Tudjman and Turkish President Suleyman Demirel. two countries.

President Tudjman will be in Turkey from 10 to 12 February.
This is to be the fifth meeting between Tudjman and Turkish

In Ankara, Tudjman is to hold talks with Turkish Premier Bulent
Ecevit as well.
The Croatian President will be awarded the honorary doctoral degree
at Ankara University.
During the three-day stay, the Croatian delegation will hold
meetings with high-ranking Turkish officials and sign six
bilateral treaties covering mostly economic issues.
Besides, the Croatian-Turkish business council will convene a
session to stimulate Turkish companies to participate in the Autumn
Fair in Zagreb. Turkey is to be the country-partner at this
international event in the Croatian capital.
President Tudjman is being accompanied by state officials and many
businessman on this tour.
