ANKARA, Feb 10 (Hina) - Croatia and Turkey on Wednesday agreed to provide mutual support to each other internationally. Talks between the two delegations in Ankara on Wednesday confirmed their readiness to extend relations between the
two countries, Croatian President Franjo Tudjman said at the Presidential Palace in Ankara. Turkish President Suleyman Demirel stressed the talks showed there were many areas in which cooperation can be protracted. After the talks, the two delegations signed several agreements, including cooperation in plant protection, legal assistance in civil and trade issues, veterinary cooperation, and an agreement between the Croatian and Turkish governments on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs issues. Tudjman said he had asked Demirel and the Turkish delegation to
continue their constructive role in overcoming difficulties in the
implementation of the peace agreement in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The two presidents also discussed the crisis in Kosovo.
The situation in Kosovo is concerning, which we stressed during our
talks, Demirel said, expressing hope in a timely peaceful solution
to the crisis.
Tudjman said stalling in finding a political solution could have
catastrophic consequences.
