ZAGREB ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - An exhibition "Iran - A Country of Culture and Arts" was opened in the Mimara Museum in Zagreb on Monday evening. Carpets, rugs, decorative items, ethnographic exhibits and handicrafts are being shown.
Opening the exhibition, Croatian Culture Minister, Bozo Biskupic said that officials of Croatia and Iran had signed an agreement on cultural cooperation last October in Tehran. This event marked the beginning of the implementation of the treaty, he added. All exhibits reflect the views of the Iranian people on certain segments of life, Iranian Ambassador to Croatia, Keyvan Imani, said. The Iranian musical group "Avaje Hamdel" took part in the opening ceremony. The exhibition, author of which is Anica Ribicic-Zupanic, has been sponsored by the Croatian Culture Ministry and Iranian Embassy in Zagreb.(hina) jn ms
