LIVNO LIVNO, Feb 1 (Hina) - An exhibition of works based on the suffering of Croats, made by artists from Croatia, Bosnia, Italy, and Brazil, was opened by Banja Luka bishop Franjo Komarica in Livno, south-western Bosnia, on Sunday
evening. Bishop Komarica said the notion of true and just peace among people was universal and "as such has no alternative." The exhibition, by six artists, featured oil paintings, sculpture, and photographs. The basic message was the victory of the culture of peace, life, and love over the evil in the world. The most noticed was an oil painting by Brazilian artist Maria Auxiliadora Madio Pereira. She showed the suffering of Croats from Vukovar by depicting killed people covered with ashes and cobwebs.(hina) ha mm
