ROME ROME, Feb 8 (Hina/AR) - Mass was served on Sunday evening at Rome's St. Gerome's church for the late Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac, head of the Croatian Catholic church during World War II, who was beatified by Pope John Paul II on
October 3, 1998. The mass was served by Archbishop Jose Saraiva Martines, prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. Martines said that Cardinal Stepinac's behaviour towards totalitarian regimes had been a bright example to all people. Present at the mass, among many other Croats, was Croatia's Ambassador to Italy, Davorin Rudolf.(hina) rml
