VUKOVAR, Jan 25 (Hina) - More than 1,000 persons viewed an exhibition of photographs of persons exhumed from mass graves in eastern Croatia staged in Vukovar. The exhibition, which closed on Monday, also included accompanying
documentation and items which belonged to the victims. The photographs helped in the preliminary identification of 13 of the exhumed, said Ivan Grujic, head of the government's Commission for Detained and Missing Persons. Six items belonging to the victims are expected to help confirm the 13 identifications. "We would have been happy had we confirmed the identity of even just one person. Full identification is difficult and demanding," Grujic said. Later this week, the photographs will be exhibited in Split and Pula, he added. Croatia is still looking for 1,795 persons gone missing during the Homeland War.(hina) ha mm
