ZAGREB, Jan 29 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament's House of Representatives on Friday appointed 20 members to the Croatian Radio-Television (HRT) Council. Three seats in the council remain empty. The decision was opposed by
representatives of six opposition parties who did not even propose their two representatives due to their resignations to parliamentary duties, including duties to which they are appointed by parliament. The decision on the appointments was, after a brief discussion, adopted with 75 votes for, nine against, and seven sustained. The newly appointed members of HRT's Council include eight MPs and 12 representatives of cultural, scientific, and public institutions.(hina) ha mm
