ZAGREB COMPANY PRESENTS 'MY JOB' VIRTUAL EMPLOYMENT BUREAU

ZAGREB, Dec 28 (Hina) - The Croatian Association of the Unemployed (UNH) and the computer company 'Tau on-line' on Thursday presented the 'virtual employment bureau' project, which will enable job- seekers to access the Internet and obtain information about available jobs. The project, called 'Moj posao (My Job)', is a data base where employers can place free job ads and search a section with job- seekers' CVs. The project also enables job-seekers to keep up to date with job offers. After two months of operation, the virtual employment bureau has more than 2,000 users, of whom 200 are employers, and 1,500 visits per day. In order to enable job-seekers to have permanent access to the Internet, 'Tau on-line' has announced that it would install computers with Internet links at all UNH offices and public places. The company also has plans to organise computer courses for unemployed persons. Croatian companies today gave first donations to the UNH with the aim of enabling the unemployed to start using the project immediately. The L.P.C. company donated a multimedia computer and Croatian Telekom donated one ISDN line and a six-month subscription for the Hinet Internet service.
