ZAGREB, Dec 27 (Hina) - President Stipe Mesic on Wednesday received the president of the Croatian Privatisation Fund, Hrvoje Vojkovic, who briefed him on the results of the first stage in the consolidation of the state portfolio.
Talks tackled the further implementation of a state portfolio management strategy, designated by a government conclusion of last June, and implementation measures in the consolidation of the state portfolio, Mesic's Office said in a statement. Vojkovic told the president an inventory which had been carried out showed that part of the portfolio could be restructured and privatised only within bankruptcies, and that 40-60 percent of jobs in bankrupt companies could be salvaged by implementing consolidation measures.(hina) ha
