ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - Bank Austria and Hypo Vereinsbank branches in Croatia will merge by mid-2001, reads a statement issued by the two banks in Zagreb on Friday. The two banks have also appointed a new management board of the new
bank, which will be part of the Bank Austria Group. Until the merger is completed and the supervisory committee and bodies give their consent, the two banks will be managed by their current management boards. The management of the new bank will draw up a detailed plan of the merger.
