CAKOVEC, Dec 12 (Hina) - The Medjimurje County police last week arrested 312 foreign citizens who tried to illegally cross the Croatian-Slovene border, the police reported Tuesday. Medjimurje police this year arrested a total of 2,100
foreign citizens, which is almost three times as many than in 1999. Last week along the Croatian-Slovene state border, the police arrested 19 groups of illegal foreign citizens, namely 181 persons, mostly Iranians, Turks, Iraqis, and citizens of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
