KOPRIVNICA, Dec 12 (Hina) - A Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) vice-president, Djurdja Adlesic, said Monday's meeting of the HSLS Head Committee in Slunj did not tackle the break-up of partnership with the Social Democratic Party,
one of HSLS's coalition partners, nor did any HSLS member question the coalition or the coalition government. "I really do not know how such interpretations are possible, but the decision of the HSLS Head Committee to analyse the government's work and the work of HSLS government members should in no way be interpreted in such a way," Adlesic told reporters at a news conference in Koprivnica last night. The HSLS will in January analyse the work of state officials, she said, expressing hope other coalition partners would do the same as well. This only means finding a better and more effective model of operation because citizens are complaining about changes being too slow
KOPRIVNICA, Dec 12 (Hina) - A Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS)
vice-president, Djurdja Adlesic, said Monday's meeting of the HSLS
Head Committee in Slunj did not tackle the break-up of partnership
with the Social Democratic Party, one of HSLS's coalition partners,
nor did any HSLS member question the coalition or the coalition
government.
"I really do not know how such interpretations are possible, but the
decision of the HSLS Head Committee to analyse the government's
work and the work of HSLS government members should in no way be
interpreted in such a way," Adlesic told reporters at a news
conference in Koprivnica last night.
The HSLS will in January analyse the work of state officials, she
said, expressing hope other coalition partners would do the same as
well. This only means finding a better and more effective model of
operation because citizens are complaining about changes being too
slow, she said.
I believe that after almost a year of ministers' being in office the
time has come to see who is and who is not competent, she said.
The HSLS has offered other coalition partners a proposal on the
reduction of the number of parliamentary committees from 24 to 13,
whereas the number of ministries would be reduced by one third,
Adlesic said.
Commenting on the summons the Hague war crimes tribunal forwarded
to general Petar Stipetic, Adlesic said Croatia had a clear stand
toward cooperation with the tribunal. "Croatia cannot allow
history or the Homeland War to be put on trial. We can only agree to
individual responsibility," she said.
