ZAGREB, Dec 9 (Hina) - Croatian First Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic on Saturday received special advisor of the United States president and Secretary of State for democratisation in the Balkans James O'Brien, the Croatian
government media and public relations office said in a statement. Granic and O'Brien discussed relations between Croatia and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Vesna Cvjetkovic Kurelec also held talks with O'Brien. According to a statement issued by the Croatian Foreign Ministry, O'Brien expressed support to the Croatian government in the implementation of democratisation and stabilisation, as well as the strengthening of Croatia's position in foreign policy.
